As the III Dominican Republic Environmental Film Festival (DREFF) rapidly approaches (the event is taking place on September 4-8, 2013), GFDD is actively seeking to engage Dominicans in the run up to this exciting event which aims to awareness and deepen the understanding of environmental issues among Dominican audiences. As part of this effort, GFDD has launched a blog entirely dedicated to the themes covered in the film festival, which include:  Biodiversity, Climate Change, Green Economy, Ocean Conservation and Sustainable agriculture. The blog, which is in Spanish and in English, links up to media reports and news articles connected to the themes of each film, thereby allowing Dominicans to dive further into the issues that will be discussed by the film directors and other panel speakers present after the screening during the festival.

To access the blog directly, please visit http://blog.dreff.org or alternatively you can access it via the DREFF’s official website at www.dreff.org, or follow each post that is summarized and linked up to the festival’s facebook page entitled “Muestra de Cine Medioambiental Dominicana”.
