Director, The Tsunami and the Cherry Blossom
I don’t know where to begin! I’m having such a beautiful inspiring time with these beautiful inspiring people, in this beautiful inspiring place and learning so much about so many important things. I can’t thank the festival, GFDD and FUNGLODE enough for this wonderful event, which I think is changing the world for the better. I’m so grateful for this opportunity to learn about Dominican Republic and also be part of this fascinating and critical conversation.”

I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated all the work and effort you and all the wonderful folks have done. The festival gave me an opportunity to be with literally hundreds of kids and see their reactions. It was very rewarding to be able to talk to so many of them. This really recharges me. And for that I am grateful...

Thank you so much for one of the most enriching experience of my life and for having created this event. I am happy to have born witness to such extraordinary work undertaken at the Environmental Film Festival. I had a great time everyday and I am so delighted to have shared this experience with such special people, including the entire GFDD staff. Hopefully, we will continue to share more in the future in the beautiful city of D.C.!

It was an incredible event. I think the organization of the DREFF, which brought together filmmakers, industry and film festival directors, has radically changed my understanding of how a festival is put together. I am fascinated by everything that took place in the Dominican Republic. All FUNGLODE and GFDD initiatives and the changes they are bringing about in this country are very inspiring. I am hoping not only to bring everything I learned there to the United States but also to return and participate in future FUNGLODE/GFDD endeavors, including the film festival, and do everything in my power to get the voices of the Caribbean and the Spanish speaking countries heard in the United States.

We had an amazing time at the film festival; it is such an honor to be here. Everyone was super excited about our presentation and we had a lot of good questions. I hope we get to come back next year.
Thank you so much for everything!

From the Environmental Film Festival of Barcelona, I had the great pleasure to share this magnificent third edition with you. You are really inspiring people. It was a wonderful festival, a festival with incredible energy. I am very happy to have participated with all of you. Hopefully I will be able to return in the future. I wish you all the best in the world. You did a stupendous job. You had incredible programming, fabulous guests and with your stupendous work, you are creating synergies with people and with different festivals and organizations that work in the environment. You’re necessary! For that reason, I hope that you have many, many, many more years and that we are here to see it. You should know that from Barcelona and from FICMA you have all our support, our help and our affection and…we’ll see you soon! A huge hug.

Yale, Environmental Film Festival
I think what the DREFF did for most of us as guests was give us this sense of a real, tangible movement. Not only was the festival an inspiring success in itself, but it also gave us the time and space to meet each other, to create and brainstorm, celebrate, and be celebrated - ultimately motivating us to keep moving forward and upward with our passions and projects.

The DREFF taught me a lot, and has already given me a lot of inspiration for improving and expanding the Environmental Film Festival at Yale. I’d really like to stay in touch about some of these ideas over the course of the year, and I hope you’ll be able to attend our festival in April 2014
