Biography of Directors Alexandra Castellanos & Aranzazu Zamora:

circular_director2Alexandra Castellanos is a Mexican animation artist with the Casiopea Collective, Alexandra works in audiovisual design and illustration with a focus on cultural and environmental content, using various art and animation techniques.  She graduated from the National School of Art and Painting in 2012.

Working with the Casiopea Collective, she made the short films Circular and En un ser vivo for the Mexico Ecofilm Festival in 2012 and 2013 respectively.

circular_directorAranzazu Zamora a young Mexican animation artist, Aranzazu is part of the Casiopea Collective where he works in animation, design, illustration and experimental techniques for audiovisual productions in the area of environment, culture and social issues.

A graduate of the National School of Art and Painting in 2012, he made his first short film with Alexandra Castellanos (member of the collective), which won first prize in animation at the Mexico Ecofilm Festival.

In 2013 with the formation of the Casiopea Collective, Aranzazu participates with his knowledge of stop motion, animated drawing and photography.
